Visiting the club
Where we are located
Birmingham Astronomical Society is based at Aston University in Birmingham (B4 7ET). Below is a Campus map, the full size version can be viewed here.
We have our own club room at the University which is open every Wednesday evening from 8pm for astronomical discussion (and a cup of tea and a biscuit!).
The observatory is on the roof of the North Wing (Main Building).
As we meet out of hours, we enter the building in South Wing which is marked as ‘2’ on the map and then through the side entrance in Potter Street.
For security reasons access to the club room needs to be by prior arrangement, please get in touch via the “CONTACT US” form if you want to come along.
Access to the club room involves one set of stairs, sadly there is no lift access.
To gain access press the intercom to speak to Security and say you are here for the Astronomy Club.
This Google Map link puts a pin where the side entrance is.

We meet in the Main Building reception from 7.45pm and walk up the club room at 8pm as a group.
If you arrive late on a Wednesday, after 8pm, please call 0121 204 4731 and a member will come and walk you to the club room.
